Flag Bases for hardstanding and indoor use
When securing our flags into the ground is not an option these products below are the solution for hardstanding and indoor use. All available for rent in conjunction with our flags and telescopic poles.
This discreet stand folds flat and is light weight making it ideal to courier.
Suitable as a light weight indoor system with our telescopic poles and can be used in conjunction with water pouches for additional support.
30l Waterbutt Base
A more robust indoor system than the xbase and suitable for hard standing outside with our smaller flags on telescopic poles.
This can be couriered to you and then you fill/ empty the water before sending back!
75 litre Heavy duty tripod base + sectional aluminium poles
These bases are large and very robust and come with an aluminium tripod for extra stability. Suitable for large indoor and outdoor events. These also have rotational boom arms to fulfil the full flying potential of your flags.
Complete with sectional aluminium pole which fits into a plastic moulded four section base.
Please note, due to weight and size these cannot be couriered but we can arrange a driver to deliver and collect.
Flag Poles – What pole system should you use?
So you have chosen some of our beautiful flags to fly in the great outdoors…
Carbon-fibre telescopic pole
with ground spike
Lightweight and collapsable they can be couriered in our special courier bags and are easily erected, making them the most easy and cost effective way to get the job done.
They also benefit from leaving very little trace on the ground, with 20mm diameter hole per flag.
It is worth noting, by their very nature they are delicate compared with other methods and are not ideal where you may have high winds (above 25mph) or high spirits (climbing enthusiasts, trophy hunters, revellers etc).
6m bamboo pole
with scaffold or PVC sleeve
By far the most attractive and more robust than the telescopic poles these are suitable for more demanding circumstances – they can withstand higher winds and can take rougher treatment. They are still relatively light and cheap, so can be self erected. This makes them ideal for longer term events and where scaffold is not appropriate.
Please note – we cannot rent these (unless we are installing for you) as the poles are too long to return by courier. We do however sell a 6m bamboo for £12 each plus £6.50 per ground insert. Also worth noting – Assent by reveller will almost certainly end in breakage! They leave a larger 50 mm diameter hole in the ground which can be filled with soil.
16ft or 21ft scaffold pole
with scaffold tube insert (putlock)
Used on festival sites all over the world this method provides complete peace of mind and is resilient to almost anything.
It requires hiring scaffold, putlocks (a shorter 4’-5’ piece of scaffolding) and swivel clamps, most appropriately from a firm local to the event.
Most large events need scaffolding for lighting etc., so it is usually best to do a bulk site order to save additional contractors. We can provide a full installation and removal service, or if you have a competent site team we can dry hire. To keep costs down we often send a member of our team to deliver and oversee installation with your crew. They leave a larger 50 mm diameter hole in the ground which can be filled with soil.
Rotational boom arms
These allow our Silk Standard and Arena flags to fly in low wind conditions or indoors.
