Festival Flags:

  1. How can I contact you? The best way to contact us initially, is by filling out our Enquiry/Booking Form. This means we have all the information we need to create your quote. Or please email us on hello@eventflaghire.co.uk, and we will reply as soon as possible, within normal working hours.
  2. My event is for 500 people, which flag pole system should I use? It would be best for you to source your own scaffold poles as our carbon poles system is robust but can be easily stolen at events open to the public.
  3. Which flags can I use with your box bases? Any of our sleeved festival flags look great outside. For indoor events our silk standards work really well, as the rotational arms hold the flag up where there is no breeze to help.
  4. Which flags work best for an indoor event? We think our new bright, white and light stripe flags look great inside. They are edged with small fabric pieces that flutter in the smallest draft and are specially designed to work on our carbon poles.  These poles have with an integral top arm that holds the flag out and can be supported by our water bases.
  5. How big are the carbon poles and festival flags? If you order one of our festival packages – for example 6 x flags and 25m x bunting, it will come in one bag – a large pole bag with a small bag inside. The large bag is around 1.5m long and fits in the boot of a normal car, or across the back seats.
  6. How long does it take to install the six festival flags in your festival package? With two people it should take 2-5 minutes per pole, so in total it would be about 12-20 minutes.
  7. How many flags should I hire to make a great impact? We would say that a flag every 2m would look great and create a festival atmosphere. We love using flags in a circle, with one in the middle, which has a great visual impact.  Alternatively, you could use fewer flags and have a semi- circle of flags around a campfire or central area.
  8. Can you post things to me, I live in the UK? Yes, we send deliveries to the UK mainland by next day courier service.  The majority of deliveries go out a few days early, so that we can be sure you have everything in plenty of time.
  9. I live locally to you, could I come and collect from you? You are very welcome to collect from us, please just let us know at the time of booking and we will make sure your order is ready for you.
  10. Do you post to the EU or USA? Yes, we can deliver to most addresses within the EU and the USA.  We do not hire flags to the EU/USA as the the poles are too long, but we do regularly send sale of flags and bunting. Please contact us directly via hello@eventflaghire.co.uk so that we can put together a quote.
  11. What is your normal rental period? For a weekend rental we dispatch your order on a Wednesday, to arrive on Thursday. Our courier then collects the packed flags on Monday (or Tuesday if there is a bank holiday).
  12. What happens if I want to rent for a longer period? We offer rentals of up to two weeks, which would double the normal rental fee.  If you need flags for a longer period, we recommend that you purchase your flags, which would be more cost effective.
  13. Do I need to sign for my courier delivery/collection? Yes, but the delivery/collection address can be different from your venue address.
  14. Can I have a different delivery and collection address? You are more than welcome to have a different delivery and collection address, as long as we are informed before your order leaves us.
  15. How much is it per flag? Prices start from £20 for our sleeved flags.
  16. Does flag hire include flag poles or are they priced separately? You can ‘dry hire’ our festival flags, if you have suitable poles already.  Alternatively, our sleeved flags can be rented with carbon poles & ground spikes. We don’t hire the poles or ground spikes on their own, but they are available to buy on our website.
  17. Are flags charged per day or event? They are charged per weekend, most orders leave us on  Wednesday for a Saturday event. The courier will collect on the Monday after your event.
  18. Can you send us pictures/ flag options. I want to know what we are getting. All the options available are on our website. Each flag design has a gallery of its own with pictures showing varying colours. There is also a colour swatch on our website, to give you an idea of the colours we have available. We have the most colours in our New Leaf and Silk & Ribbons flags.
  19. If my event is in a field do I need bases? No, if you are installing your flags on open ground, you can choose a package or go with our festival flags.  We will supply a carbon extendable pole, ground spikes and everything you would need to self-install.
  20. What is the depth of steel ground spikes? They are approximately 30cm.
  21. Have you got any installation videos? Yes we do, this web address will be on your instructions as well.
  22. Are they secure in the ground? Easily pulled out? They come with a steel ground spike which goes into the ground. On removal, the ground spike may require a wriggle if the ground has dried out a lot after installation.

Bunting:

  2. My event is inside, what type of bunting will I receive? We will send you sewn edged bunting for use inside.
  3. I would like some bespoke bunting for my wedding, is this possible? Yes you can design your own bunting, using our bunting builder.
  4. Should I hire, or buy my bunting? If your event is longer than one weekend, it is more cost effective to purchase your bunting.

Bamboo Structures:

  2. How do I install my tripod? Our tripod kits don’t include ground fixings as these are not required.  To install your tripod you will need to create a divot at the base of the three poles to prevent movement.

Extras we can offer:

  1. Can you install my flags? Yes, our team can install your festival flags, bunting, bamboo structures and/or festoon lighting.  Our installation fees vary depending on your order and location, so it is best to contact us and discuss your requirements.
  2. How do I plug in my festoon lighting? They come with fitted already with a 16A plug & socket (these have round prongs). We do also have standard indoor 13A adaptors, if you cannot use 16A ones.
  3. Can we buy festoon lighting? Unfortunately at the moment we cannot offer our festoon lighting for sale.

Purchasing from us:

  1. I have multi events this year, can I buy your flags and bunting? Yes, you can buy our festival flags and bunting, from our web shop.
  2. Can you print flags with our company logo? Yes, we can print on either silk or polyester fabrics, there is more information on our custom printed page.

Booking Changes:

  1. My event date has changed, can you please change this for me? We are more than happy to change your booking as many times as you would for free, please just email us your new date.
  2. Your FAQ mentions courier service, is this nationwide? Yes, our courier can deliver anywhere within Mainland Britain.
  3. Are you able to deliver on the Friday rather than the Thursday. We are on site that day. Unfortunately the courier we use (APC), cannot guarantee next day deliveries, so we like to send out early just in case. We can deliver to a different address if that helps?
  4. I see full payment is required one month before. Do you need a deposit now? No, if you are happy with the order, we can create an invoice to secure your booking.
